Supabase to beacons and email marketing directly
Hi Beacons Support Team, My name is Reshma , and I am a paying member of your Creator Pro tier. I am reaching out because I have run into a major roadblock regarding how Beacons handles incoming subscriber data. I am trying to build an automated email marketing system, and right now, your platform's lack of an inbound data pipeline is completely stalling my business. I need a technical solution, a workaround, or a developer-level recommendation on how I can achieve true automation with your platform without being forced to leave Beacons for another email competitor. What I Am Trying to Achieve I use my Beacons page as my primary hub. However, I capture my high-value audience leads through a custom quiz/survey hosted on my external website. When a user lands on my site, they go through an interactive quiz funnel. At the end of this quiz, they enter their email address. Currently, these leads are successfully captured in my backend database (Supabase). From Supabase, I have database triggers ready to instantly push this user data anywhere it needs to go via tools like Zapier or Make.com . The Problem / The Technical Roadblock My entire goal in purchasing Beacons Creator Pro was to use Beacons Email Marketing as my central, all-in-one email platform. I want Beacons to be the place where all my emails are stored, and where all my marketing blasts and automated sequences are sent. However, I have discovered that Beacons operates as a completely closed ecosystem for incoming contact data. You do not have an open inbound API endpoint, and you do not support incoming webhooks. Because of this, I cannot connect my external quiz platform/Supabase database to Beacons on autopilot. Why Current Standard Workarounds Do Not Work For Me I am well aware of the standard workarounds, but none of them are acceptable for my business model: Manual CSV Imports: I have been told I can manually export my quiz leads from Supabase and upload a CSV file to my Beacons Audience dashboard. This is not an acceptable solution. Doing this weekly or daily is a manual chore that destroys the point of digital automation. If a user takes my quiz on a Monday, they expect an automated welcome email immediately, not three days later when I finally get around to moving files. It ruins conversion rates. Switching to Mailchimp/ConvertKit/MailerLite: I have also been told to just route my quiz leads into a third-party email provider like Mailchimp or ConvertKit. I explicitly do not want to do this. I am paying for Beacons Creator Pro precisely so I don’t have to pay for or manage a fragmented stack of other email software. I want everything inside my Beacons dashboard. Moving the Quiz onto Beacons: My quiz is an advanced, custom-coded interactive funnel built on an external database. It cannot be recreated using basic, static Beacons signup blocks. The survey must live on my separate website. Every Single Detail of My Target Pipeline: User completes custom quiz on my external website. Lead data hits my Supabase database table (quiz_leads). A Supabase database trigger (on_quiz_lead_insert) instantly fires. [THE MISSING LINK]: I need a way to take that trigger data (via Webhook, Zapier, or a direct API endpoint) and automatically push that email contact directly into my Beacons Audience/Email list. Beacons instantly fires my automated email sequences to that new subscriber. My Request to Your Product & Support Team As a Creator Pro member, I need your team to tell me how I can bridge this gap. Is there an unlisted, private, or beta inbound API endpoint that I can use to programmaticially add contacts to my Beacons audience list? Is there a hidden webhook URL structure I can target using Zapier’s "Webhooks by Zapier" tool to drop leads directly into my Beacons database? If this feature does not exist, can this be escalated immediately to your engineering/product team as a critical feature request for professional creators who run advanced, external funnels? Moving files via CSV is a relic of the past, and forced fragmentation to tools like Mailchimp defeats the purpose of your all-in-one platform. Please look into this deeply and provide a concrete solution on how I can automate this data stream directly into Beacons. I look forward to your detailed response. Best regards, [Reshma]

Enhanced Email Marketing Customization & Segmentation
I’d love to see Beacons expand its email marketing capabilities. Right now, the tools are usable, but very limited for creators who rely on email as a core part of their business. Advanced Text Styling Options Currently, email text customization is very basic. I’d love the ability to: Change the color of individual words, phrases, or sentences Style text on a per block or per line basis instead of changing the color of the entire text block This would allow for better emphasis, branding consistency, and overall readability without needing external tools. Native GIF Support (Not Linked) I’d like to be able to insert GIFs directly into emails instead of having to link them. Linking GIFs forces subscribers out of the email thread and breaks engagement. Embedded GIFs are standard across most modern email platforms and would significantly improve: Engagement Visual storytelling Promotional and launch emails Rule Based Tagging + Flexible Segmentation Controls (Most Important) Ideally, I’d love Beacons to support automated tagging based on user actions, with creator defined rules. Examples: If someone downloads a specific freebie, they are automatically tagged based on that content If someone purchases a specific product, they are automatically tagged for that product or category These tags should be visible directly on each subscriber’s audience profile in the backend To clarify, I’m not asking Beacons to decide segmentation for creators. I’d want access to settings or rules where we define how actions translate into tags. Example scenario: A subscriber downloads: “Affiliate Marketing 101” “How to Be a Virtual Assistant as a Side Hustle” That subscriber would automatically receive tags such as: Digital Marketing Affiliate Marketing Virtual Assistant From there, I’d want the flexibility to: View those actions and tags on the subscriber’s profile Manually move that subscriber into one or multiple groups based on my own strategy Email subscribers based on tags, groups, or both Even if group movement remains manual, automatic tagging alone would be a major improvement and would give creators far more control over their audience management. Limitations & Trust Issues With Current Dynamic Groups Beacons currently uses dynamic groups, but the logic behind them is unclear. I’ve noticed Audience Members labeled as “high engagement” But when reviewing individual activity, a large percentage of those subscribers have not engaged with emails in months based on Beacons’ own analytics Without transparent rules, visible tags, or manual override options, it’s difficult to: Send relevant emails Properly segment audiences Clean lists Build intentional email funnels Giving creators visibility into why someone is in a group and the ability to apply our own logic would dramatically improve the email marketing experience. If there are any other questions, feel free to ask or if anyone else is interested in adding more to this feel free to.
