Dynamic Email Groups
itsyassylindsay
I would like the option to create my own dynamic email groups.
Reason being I want to start a newsletter but I only want to send that newsleetter to people who have choses to subscribe specifically to that newsletter.
I created a signup page for my newsletter using beacons website builder.
But then I realised there is not way to create a dynamic group for people who sign up specifically from that page to jion a newsletter group.
I would ideally like a solution for the example above.
Otherwise I will have to use a thrid party software like beehive, and that defeats the point of building my audience CRM and nurturing my leads if I have to do it outside of Beacons.
Is this something you can add, and how long would it take?

A/B testing for email automation/marketing
thepassiveincomemethod
Hi, I would like A/B testing functionality to be added to the email automation workflow. An example of this would be customers who sign up for the freebie will be randomly split to group A vs. B. Within the same workflow, I would like to create sub workflow A vs. sub workflow B to test the messaging/content/tonality of my emails. Thanks.

Hello itsyassylindsay! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific criteria or attributes would you like to use to define a 'dynamic email group'?
- How frequently do you anticipate updating or changing the membership of these dynamic email groups?
- Are there any specific integrations or third-party tools you currently use that you would like this feature to be compatible with?

- What specific criteria or attributes would you like to use to define a 'dynamic email group'?
I would like the ability to create dynamic email groups based on specific actions or criteria, such as:
Users who signed up via a specific signup page (e.g., my newsletter signup page).
Tags or categories applied to users when they sign up (e.g., "Newsletter Subscriber").
Users who have opted into specific types of communication via checkboxes or preferences during the signup process.
Ideally, these groups should automatically update in real-time as users meet or no longer meet these criteria.
- How frequently do you anticipate updating or changing the membership of these dynamic email groups?
The membership of these groups would need to update dynamically and automatically as users sign up or unsubscribe.
For example:
When someone signs up via the newsletter page, they’re immediately added to the group.
When someone unsubscribes from the newsletter, they’re automatically removed.
The goal is to have these updates happen without manual intervention on my part to save time and ensure accuracy.
- Are there any specific integrations or third-party tools you currently use that you would like this feature to be compatible with?
Currently, I prefer to use Beacons as my primary CRM and email tool to build and nurture my audience.
However, I would like the option to use Zapier to automatically subscribe people to this newsletter after joining my Skool group.
Ideally, I’d like the feature to work seamlessly within Beacons itself.
If integrations are an option, it would be helpful if this feature could:
Work with Zapier to automate the contact subscription into the dynamic group from Skool. Based on the information they submitted on the Skool entry form for the group.

More Customizable Email Workflows

I would be able to do all of my email marketing on Beacons except for the fact that it's missing some key features. For example, I want to be able to send a different email to the person depending on whether they opened the email or did not open the email. Other platforms allow for much more customization of these workflows and I would love to be able to have this level of customization in beacons email marketing, so I wouldn't have to use an outside platform.

Hello Guest! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide examples of the specific types of email workflows you would like to see implemented?
- What other features from other platforms do you find useful that you would like to see in Beacons?
- How often do you plan to use these customizable email workflows?

- I'd like to see different triggers than "Joined Email" where you can setup different workflows depending on what the user does (these are called "conditionals". For example, you can have a different set of emails sent to the person on the condition of if they opened the previous email or not. Another example of some conditionals might be: did they submit a first name, did they click on the link, did they purchase a product...etc. All of these would allow me to better sort and tailor my emails depending on what the user did.
- I'd recommend looking at beehiiv. They have incredible customization when it comes to email workflows
- I would setup my entire email workflow differently on beacons if it had this feature. I plan to set it up once, but I would set it up way differently, and I would probably come back to it and change it every once in a while.

Nurture tagging capabilities

I am a systems girly And when I went to go set up my nurture sequences, I was not impressed with the workflow opportunities. I would love to see something more robust, for example, when somebody purchases a free, I’m able to tag them as freebie, and they start in the free sequence, however, once they purchased, they get removed from that email sequence and moved into the welcome sequence for the purchase. Hopefully this makes sense what I’m trying to express. I don’t like the idea of having a nurture sequence automation built out and they continuously receive emails from the freebie sequence, even if they have purchased

Hello thepassiveincomemethod! I have a few more questions for you:
- Could you provide more details on the specific metrics you would like to track in the A/B testing?
- Are there any specific features you would like to see in the sub workflows for group A and B?
- Would you like to have the ability to manually assign customers to group A or B, or should this be completely randomized?
thepassiveincomemethod
Hi Jacob Choi-Durham! Sure, thanks for the quick response.
- I would like to track both open rate and click rate, and if this could be tied to conversion/purchase rate, that would be great too (assuming the purchaser uses the same email that was used for downloading a freebie to purchase any product in the store) however I believe the two metrics available right now are both open and click rate. Even with both, I will be able to measure subject A vs. subject B via open rate, and content A vs. content B via click rate so it's sufficient for now.
- Being able to create a tag or comment only visible to myself on what is being tested would be great, but just a basic A/B testing functionality would be great to start with.
- I would like it to be completely randomized, but if possible, with a % split that I can configure, rather than a blanket 50-50. Therefore if I already have optimized my email workflow, but still have some testing to be done, I could assign 80% to the champion and 20% to the challenger.
