Digital Business Cards

I've seen a couple people at events that have these digital business cards that you can scan with a QR code on their phone! It would be cool if we had something like this that looks a bit more minimalist than our full beacons page but links to it and maybe even has an email request field so they can make sure the contact info is sent to their inbox.

Like a QR code we can add to Apple wallet or Google wallet would be absolutely splendid

ravingfemboy this actually already exists! :)

every Beacons link-in-bio comes with a built-in QR code! if you click the share button near your link-in-bio URL (top right) you'll be shown a menu where you can select the QR code option and that will take you to your QR code
let us know if you run into any issues!

What about the Media Kit?

They have the option for adding it to your google wallet and from there it is a QR code that is scannable that brings people to your beacons homepage. Alternatively they also have the option to request a spiffy card that people can tap near their phone and it also opens up your page (you keep the card yourself and just tap near peoples phones).

This is an amazing idea and I hope it gets developed!
In the interim, there are some work arounds you can do.
**"Get your unique QR code" Method:
From the main account page on Beacons, click "Link in Bio".
On the right hand side you'll see a preview of your LIB and above it is the URL and a button that reads "Share". Click the Share button and a pop up menu appears.
From the pop up menu, click "Share QR code" and a another pop up will show up with a QR code that goes directly to your Beacons page. I say directly because it isn't using a URL shortener so it should work regardless of the network a user is on. I go into detail about why a Beacons created short URL is sometimes an issue in the next method.
Sadly, as of this reply, there doesn't seem to be a way to do this for the Media Kit [Though there is a QR code you can get and is described in the "Apple Wallet method" below). However, you can add your Media Kit as a block to your home or secondary Beacons page.
**Link Shortener Method:
You can use Beacons link shortener method to create a custom Short URL and with that comes a unique QR code.
Advantage to this is you can create multple unique Short URL/QR codes that go to the same URL and track what marketing material is working the best for you: is it the QR on your business card, QR on a flyer, QR on a brochure, or the QR on your banner? You'll be able to see the stats and know where to invest more time and money.
Disadvantage is that there is still an issue with Internet Service Providers blocking Beacons short URL. Before replying, I tested my Short URL QR code twice with Wi-Fi on. The first scan worked but the second scan was blocked. However, if I scan while disconnected from Wi-Fi and only using LTE/5G (T-Mobile) it scans every time.
**Apple Wallet Method:
[This only works on iPhones. It will NOT work on iPads.]
Go through the same steps as "'Get your unique QR code' method" but instead of clicking "Share QR code" you will be clicking "Apple Wallet pass".
Once this is in your Apple Wallet, you can pull it up, take a screenshot, and crop out the QR code. This QR code doesn't use the aforementioned URL shortener so it should work no matter what network they are conntected to.
Once you got your Beacons QR code, go back to your account page, click on Media Kit, click the share icon (the "<" with dots) next to the URL and a pop up menu will show up.
Click "Apple Wallet pass" just like before, screen shot and crop. This is your Media Kit QR code and, again, doesn't use a URL shortener so..it should work.
