- What percentage of the service cost would you consider an appropriate security deposit?
- Would you like the security deposit to be refundable, and under what conditions?
- How would you like to handle situations where a customer does not show up for their booking?

- For the percentage that I charge is 50%, but if you can make it where we have the option to put in the percentage that will be great.
- The security deposit is non refundable if a clients cancel within 48 hours before their appointment, but they can use it toward their next booking.
If a client cancel less that 24 hours it will definitely not be refundable . I attached my policy below if you want to take a look.
- No show up will be charge 100% the fee.
if we can have a section on the booking to add our policy we created that will be good.
Also to add an option to create waiver or consent form so clients can feel them up when they book if its their first time booking the type of service.
I currently use Vagaro and will the love to use beacons for all my needs
Here is my written policy for my spa.
"At Lush Perfection Aesthetics, we strive to provide the best possible service to all our clients. Due to the nature of our business and the demand for our appointments, we have implemented the following policy:
Booking : A 50% deposit fee is required upon booking
Rescheduling: Clients are allowed to reschedule their appointments if cancel at least 48 hours before the scheduled time.
A 50% fee will be charged, Client will need to reschedule an appointment to take place within 7 days of the original appointment, the 50% fee will be credited towards the rescheduled appointment.
Please contact us via phone or email to arrange a new appointment time.
Late Cancellations: If an appointment is canceled within 24 hours, rescheduling may not be possible, client will be charged 100% of the service price .
No-Shows: Clients who do not show up for their scheduled appointment without prior notice will be charged 100% of the service price from the card on file
If client do not show up after 20 minutes of the set appointment time, this Is considered a no-show.
No Refunds: All sales are final. We do not offer refunds on any services or products purchased.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
This policy helps us maintain our high standards of service and ensures availability for all our valued clients."

- What kind of services are you offering that would require this deposit system?
- How would you like the remaining balance to be displayed to the client?

Jacob Choi-Durham I too would love this feature, so if it’s alright I can answer these. I know this is an older post.
1) the option for one or the other would be ideal! I personally think I’d use a flat fee.
2) I do empathetic active listening. New member to beacons but almost 5 years providing this service.
3) I’d like it to just display the account and ask for the remainder by 1 hr prior to appointment, or it’s canceled. I keep the deposit. A helpful way to do this would be to give members a space to write our own policy.
