Allow excluding groups when sending emails
natanyad
It would be amazing if the email segmentation can be enhanced. I would like to be able to exclude certain groups/segments in addition to adding certain groups before sending emails. For example, when someone purchases a certain offer, I want to be sure they are no longer receiving emails about that particular offer.
See the picture attached. There should be an "exclude a group" added under the "add a group" option.

I'm still waiting on this exact same feature. While it's possible to sent e-mails out to a specific group of subscribers who purchased a particular product, it still doesn't seem possible to do this when creating an e-mail broadcast.
I can currently only choose "all subscribers", "joined in the last 30 days", "Made a purchase", or "Active Audience". What I would like to select here is "Subscribers who purchased Product ABC".

Can you please add the option to remove email recipients. I would like to send email broadcasts to all of my email list except a select few. If we could have the option to put in emails we don't want to include that would be a great feature.

How do I remove a sub from a funnel?
lessfacemorespace
I accidentally had a trigger assigned incorrectly and I'm trying to move a sub into a different funnel but i can't figure it out. Please advise, thanks!

Hey Monique, thanks for your feedback! I have a few more questions for you:
- Could you provide more details on how you envision the process of selecting the emails to exclude from the broadcast?
- Would you like this feature to remember your preferences for future email broadcasts or should it reset after each use?
- Are there any other functionalities related to email broadcasts that you think could be improved or added?

Jacob Choi-Durham 1) by having a Remove group or remove recipient option when selecting the groups to send to.
2) I think resetting would be best
3) I don't like how the emails display on mobile. even when viewing with the mobile option on a computer it isn't an accurate representation of how it shows on a phone. The width is off.
Also all emails go to junk. Can this be resolved? Why is it other platforms emails don't go to junk?

Hey lessfacemorespace, thanks for your feedback! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you please specify the exact steps you took when you tried to move a sub into a different funnel?
- What was the result or error message, if any, when you attempted to move the sub?
- Could you provide more details about the 'trigger' you mentioned? How was it assigned incorrectly?

Jacob Choi-Durham I’m not getting an error message I just cannot even find how to move them? From the audience tab or from the funnel editing? I swear I have looked everywhere I’m sorry!
I had the trigger set to the wrong product that doenst match the funnel. Luckily only one person bought so I was able to adjust the trigger for future buyers… but she got assigned to that funnel and I want to move her to another ?
All I could figure out was to maybe delete and add her manually but that doesn’t seem right.

Select different groups

On Stan when you are writing emails you can immediately exclude a group of people. Like when launching a product and doing a promotional sequence in emails, Stan will let you exclude people that have already purchased it (people are added to this group as they purchase) so that people don’t get frustrated as they continued to be marketed to for a product they have already purchased
In beacons you have to go through and manually create these groups - it’s tedious and you have to go back and update them

Exlude certain groups from future email campaigns.

It would be great to have a button that excludes a group or people say, that have already bought your course from future campaigns about the course. It looks bad when they have already purchased it and yet continue to get emails about it. So if they are put into a group or tagged and then you can easily exclude them from future launch emails, this would be a very helpful option.

Hiya thepositivepa, thanks for this post! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details on how you envision the automatic group creation and updating process?
- What criteria would you like to use to automatically categorize customers into different groups?
- How frequently do you need to update these groups?

I would like to be able to exclude specific people when email marketing or just target a specific group of people that have purchased one of my items.
I am launching a bundle later this week. Ideally I would like to be able to exclude people that purchase from receiving the full week of email marketing (as this is annoying for people)
So as people purchase they are automatically added to this group and can be excluded.
Or if I want to target marketing a specific group that have already purchased, I can just select that group automatically instead of going through and selected hundreds of people to make a group (which will not be updated as more people purchase)

yes, please for this!

Thank you for posting, natanyad! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details on how you envision the 'exclude a group' feature working in terms of user interaction?
- Are there any specific criteria you would like to use to exclude groups/segments from receiving emails?
- Would you like this feature to be applied to all email campaigns or only specific ones?
natanyad
Jacob Choi-Durham It should be available to all email automations and broadcasts.
- It would be great to be able to auto tag customers when they purchase a product. For example, when I create a product, I should be able to create a group tag for it, then set an automation up to auto tag customers.
- Then for the emails sequences, I could opt to send to everyone on my list but exclude the tag/group of those that have purchased the product already.
- The feature should be available to all campaigns and broadcasts.
